三星堆博物馆感受记录goodmorning,ladiesandgentlemen.welcometosanxingduimuseum.themuseumissituatedinthenortheastofthesanxingduisiteanditwasopenedtothepublicinoctober1997.it’snodoubtatreasure-house.becauseithasagreatnumberofhistoricalrelics,whichareveryspectacular,suchasastatelystandingfigure,afreakishbronzemask,andatoweringbronzeholytree;allofthemareunparalleledtreasures.moreovertherearemanygoldwaresandjadewares,andmanyofthemarethefirsteverseenoftheirkind.alltheserelicsprovedthatsanxingduiwasthecapitaloftheancientshukingdommorethan3,000yearsago.now,ladiesandgentlemen,iwouldliketointroduceyouoneofthemostuniqueandgrotesquerelicsinthemuseum-thebronzemaskwithprotrudingeyes.everybody,pleasewatchthemaskcarefully.itis78centimeterswide,82.5centimetershighandontheforeheadthereisadragon-shapedcrown,whichis68-centimeterslong.themask’seyeballsarequitestrange,right。theyarenotthenormaleyeballs,butlookliketwobulgingcircularcylinders,andeachthrustingoutwardabout10cm.theearsarealsostange,theyareverybigandstretchoutonbothsides.actually,themaskishalfhumanbeingshalfanimals.soyoumayfeelconfused:whatwastheirprototypeororigin。whymusttheybeexpressedinsuchway。theanswermayliesinthehistory.3000yearsago,sanxingduiwasthecapitaloftheshukingdomandcancongwasthefirstruler.sotheshupeopleregardedcancongastheirancestraldeity.accordingtowrittenrecordsintheshukingdom’schronicle,itsays:“canconghadprotrudingeyes”.inthepast,scholarswereveryconfusedoftheterm“protrudingeyes”,becausetheydidnotknowwhatitreallymeant.inordertoexplainit,alo第1页共2页tofspeculativetheorieswereinvented.butnoneofthemwereconvincing.nowwiththeexcavationofthismask,mostarcheologistsagreethatthetermshouldrefertotheappearanceofthemask.theybelievethatthemaskrepresentstheimageofcancong,thefirstruleroftheshukingdom..everybody,doyouagreetheexplanation。ifyoudon’t,hereiwanttoshareotherspeculationswithyou.oneopinionisthemaskisassociatedwithsomefolklore.becausetheexaggeratedeyesandearsarethemostimpressivefeaturesofthemask.sosomearcheologistbelievedthattheseimagessymbolizetheso-calledthousand-mileeyeandwind-accompanyingearinchinesefolklore.anotheropinionisthatthemaskshowstheevolutionoftotems.becauseearlyculturestendtomixanimismwithancestralworship,soitisnotstrangethatthemaskhasbothanimalisticandhumanfeatures.everybody,nomatterwhichopinionyoutake,becausewehavenowrittenrecordsabouthowandwhythemaskwasmade,ibelievethedebateaboutthemysteriousmaskwillgoonforalongtime.nowladiesandgentlemen,iwillgiveyou5minutestoobservethemask.andyoucanalsofreelyphotographorfilmit,butpleaseremember,don’tuseflashhere.thanks.第2页共2页
