In recent years, with the development of globalization, the role of bilingual public signs has become increasingly important, so the translation of it has gradually become the focus of scholars at home and abroad. Apart from the great deal achievements obtained in this field, there are still some problems exist in many aspects of public signs translation. There are still many researches worth to do in the translation of public signs under the guidance of eco-translatology.The thesis takes Taiyuan South Railway Station as an example, having a filed investigation of public signs in it. Focusing on the literature review of eco-translatology and public signs, the paper first describes the origin and content of eco-translatology, the iidefinition, classifications and translation studies of public signs. As well as, through collating the collected translations, the author finds that the translation errors of public signs in Taiyuan South Railway Station generally fall into two categories: semantic errors and pragmatic errors. Semantic errors also include the direct use of Pinyin, lack of English translation, machine translation and many other issues.
