Experiment is an important element in learning tribology. Friction-wear tester is an equipment that can quantitatively demonstrate the mechanism of friction and wear. Because the friction-wear tester that on sale has a high price and complex structures, it is not appropriate to use in laboratory.I designed a small friction-wear tester by analyzing principles of tribology and other friction-wear tester. The structure of the friction-wear tester is column-disc. There is no hydraulic package on it and its loading modules are compact and stable. So it is easy to be produced and has low cost.
