The serial communication between PLC and frequency-converter is realized based on the PROFIBUS protocol. The PROFIBUS protocol is introduced in detail. Hardware link of communication between PLC and frequency-converter are introduced with an example of SIEMENS frequency-converter MICROMASTER 440. According to this protocol, remote control of inverter is realized with SIEMENS PLC being controller under the environment of visual PLC.
