This study aims to clarify the impact of acid-producing fungi on soil nutrient changes and maize growth, in order to understand their potential application value in soil improvement and agricultural production. Using field experiments, by comparing the effects of adding acid-producing fungi strains with control groups, the changes in soil physical and chemical properties and nutrient contents were analyzed, and the growth status and yield of maize were monitored. The results showed that the addition of acid-producing fungi strains can not only promote the decomposition of soil organic matter and increase soil acidity, but also increase the content of available nutrients in the soil, which has a positive effect on improving crop growth and yield. The results of this study provide scientific basis and application prospects for the application of biotechnology in agricultural production.Keywords: acid-producing fungi; soil nutrients; maize growth; field experiment; biotechnology
