出国留学or 参加高考？ Nowadays, studying abroad is becoming more and more popular among middle school students. And with the college entrance examination approaching, they’ll find themselves standing at a crossroads, wondering which way to take. Conventionally, taking the college entrance examination is the common practice. Compared to/with the high tuition for seeking further education abroad, this choice helps to save a lot of money. Besides, students will go through fewer challenges like culture shock or being homesick. But the problem with this choice is the fierce competition and the pressure that accompanies. Thus as an alternative, studying abroad has the advantage of less academic competition as well as broadening one’s horizons and enriching multicultural experiences. But life in a foreign country can be hard for teenagers as they’ll have to balance their studies, afterschool activities and part-time jobs. As for me, I would like to apply for scholarship to study abroad, for I don’t want to put pressure on my parents to live my dream.
